Back in Essex

Now that I am back home, have been tending to my seedlings of tomatoes and Chilli plants,
the tomatoes have grown quite well, but the chillies are not....
Also had put some seeds for butter nut and courgettes. Again butter nut came trough,
but no sign of the courgettes so decided to put a few more seeds in....
The broad beans are doing very well, the onions look healthy...

Hubby and I have been here for two weeks now, Madeira is where I was born and lived for eighteen years... Then at that age eighteen I went to live in Great Britain, where I have lived very happy, but of course hubby and I still gravitate to Madeira a couple time a year..

Spring has sprang.

I am so excited the garden is coming to life. the Hellebore has been in flower for some time now.
The white Camellia, flowered  quite early and its still in bloom, now the red Camellia has started to flower.
the Clematis also in flower.
And the icing on the cake, my indoor slipper orchid has given me a present...
No wonder I'm so excited

A country walk.

Hello everyone
I have been away for far to long.....woke up this morning and I thought about my blog
so here I am having a look to see what is happening....Nice to read again all the stories
and I hope that this time I'll have some little stories and memories to share with you all.
For now here is a picture that I've taken on one of my walks,
on the beautiful Essex countryside.
