Walking the Essex way

This time Hubby and I visited Norwich with a group of colleges. A very old City.
Norwich is a city of churches' as it has the largest collection of surviving medieval churches.
Medieval Norwich was extremely wealthy and rich merchants built churches to the glory of God to try and assure themselves a place in haven.
More than fifty churches were built within the city walls during the 14th and 15th centuries.
Norwich Cathedral  900 year old Norman cathedral was founded in 1096 and is one of the finest in England. It boasts the second highest spire in Britain best examples of Romanesque architecture in Europe. An amazing place to visit hopefully next time i'll have more time to explore it a little more, it is truly an amazing city.
